2008 Membership Subs Now Due
A gentle reminder for existing members to pop down and pay up plus - for the sceptical ex-members and the uninitiated - six reasons to play squash and eight reasons to join the SFC Squash Club.
Starting with a brand new committee, full of ideas and eagerness, 2008 will be a lot of squash and a lot of fun for everyone:
-
Social squash nights, outrageous handicap tournaments, inter-club Olympics
- Many great improvements to the club over the year
- We’ve got the top 3 men in the country now and more girls than ever before
- Development and junior squash
- National and club championships
- Team tours to Windhoek, the north, the south, wherever we like
- Inter-town challenges and fun squash days
- Coaching and training for all levels from beginner to elite
And if that doesn’t convince you here’s more:
-
Squash is quick: 45 minutes and you’ll be sweating like Byoncé.
- Squash is easy: the tin is only 48cm high and the ball comes back to you.
- Squash is fun: it’s the best sport in the world - just ask any squash player.
- Squash is healthy: low impact fitness, strength and speed – the works.
- Squash is cheap: N$7.50 a game and all you need is a racquet, shoes and a ball.
- Squash is convenient: any weather, any time and no equipment hassles.
To join, fill in the application form, pop down to the SFC Sports Club to pay your fees and you’re away. STILL not convinced? Well, we won’t bother you again, just send any committee member:
-
3 x certified copies of your birth certificate, ID, driver’s licence, passport, marriage certificate (if applicable), divorce certificate (if applicable)
- N$1000 in cash for handling and administrative fees
- A full doctor’s report and chest x-rays
- A letter endorsed by Jonah Barrington, Jahangir Khan and Amr Shabana stating why you think squash is a stupid game.
- An email or SMS saying you don’t want to be bothered by the squash club again.
Actually we just need that last one. We were just having a bit of FUN!!!!!
